Bug 8740993 Description

ORA-1410 during table scan on Active Dataguard (ADG) STANDBY database
after DROP/TRUNCATE/SHRINK in PRIMARY database

Here is the scenario:

(1) Standby queries table T1, which brings buffer X into the buffer cache.
(2) Primary drops/truncates/shrinks table T1.
(3) Standby applies the redo to drop/truncates/shrinks T1 as well.
(4) DROP case: Primary creates a new table T2 and inserts into T2,
which uses the space that was previously used by T1.
TRUNCATE/SHRINK case: Primary inserts more rows into T1,
which uses the space that was previously used by T1.
(5) Standby applies the redo in step (4).
(6) A query is run to scan T2/T1, which finds buffer X in the buffer
cache (provided that buffer X has not yet aged out).  It leads to
ORA-1410.

Note that ORA-1410 is intermittent.

Workaround

Flush the buffer cache and retry the query

    新京报5月4日报道 昨日，是五一三天假期的最后一天，记者根据世博会3天入园人数累加数字发现，五一假期期间，共有56.31万名游客参观世博会。五一3天假期每天参观世博园的人数数量分别为20.77万人、22.56万人、12.98万人，其中3日入园游客数最少。

    天热人少排队时间缩短

    上海世博局局长洪浩透露，5月3日，可能由于天气比较热的原因，客流比5月1日和5月2日有明显下降，热门场馆的排队情况有所缓解，参观者等候时间也相应缩短。

    在展馆客流分布上，中国馆接待了4.5万人次，是参观人数最多的一天。沙特、日本等馆平均排队人数超过2000人，韩国馆排队人数已经降到1000人以下，德国、法国、瑞士、西班牙馆排队超过1000人，英国、美国馆排队人数接近1000人。企业馆和城市最佳实践区不需要排队。(www.qlbd.net)

    在园区工作团队方面，洪浩表示，世博园五一三天园区内工作人数，包括世博会工作组织人员、安保人员、志愿者以及服务人员，实点工作人数平均是4万人左右。工作人员们很早开始工作，一直工作到晚上12点，轮班人员进进出出将近10万人。
